Mývatn Nature Baths

Mývatn Nature Baths is a natural bathing site, where tourists can bathe in a lagoon that has many special properties. Its water contains minerals in large amounts and is alkaline and therefore good for bathing. Because of the composition of minerals, harmful bacteria and vegetation cannot survive in the water. No chlorine or other disinfectants are therefore added to it. A hot tub and a natural sauna are also on site.

Swimming Pool

All guests have free access to the local 25 m swimming pool (5-10 Min. walking distance) with two hot pots and a children's pool.

Winter opening hours (01.09.-06.06.)

Mon - Thu: 07:30 - 09:30 and 16:00 - 21:00

Fri: 07:30 - 09:30

Sat: 14:00 - 17:00

Sun: Closed

Geothermal swimming pools are also to be found in Húsavík and Akureyri.
